The Table provides a dinner shuttle outreach to assist guests-- and families living with them--suffering from terminal or chronic illnesses who cannot come to the dining room for dinner. In order to be eligible for the Dinner Shuttle, individuals cannot be eligible (often because they are too young) for benefits from any other agency, such as Meals on Wheels.

This program depends on volunteers who spend each Wednesday packing boxes of staples and frozen meals and delivering the boxes to the 25 individuals on the list. They often spend a few minutes chatting with the recipients and putting the food away for them. We rely both on donated and purchased food. The biggest expense for this program is the purchase of microwaveable containers for the frozen meals that we prepare ourselves.
