Local woodturner, Gary A. Kaplan, has generously donated these bowls to My Brother’s Table to help us raise funds to support our mission. Each bowl is hand turned, food safe, and functional art. About the Artist: Woodworking for 39 years primarily building furniture, Gary began woodturning about 9 years ago. On a lathe, he makes one-of-a-kind bowls, platters, and plates. All his bowls are food-safe. “I find woodturning to be fun, creative, and a never-ending learning process… with each piece of wood bearing its own surprises due to exciting and unexpected grain patterns.” Gary is a member of the Association of Revolutionary Turners (ART) and a member of the American Association of Woodturners (AAW).
