Sign Up To Volunteer Online

We are currently serving all meals to-go and we need volunteers to help us prepare, package, and distribute meals to our guests.

If you are interested in volunteering in-person at the Table, please sign up for volunteer shift(s) by clicking here. Or call the office at 781-595-3224.

If you are not able to come to the Table, but still want to help? You can! Please click here to sign up to help us by preparing lunch and dinner bags from home.

Volunteer at the Table

  • Due to COVID-19, we are operating our kitchen and dining room in a way to minimize contact between people.  We are providing hand washing/sanitizing stations, aprons, disposable gloves, and masks if you cannot supply your own.
  • There are multiple shifts available M-F and on the weekends to assist us in preparing, packaging, and distributing meals. Please sign up for shift(s) by clicking here.
  • Volunteers can also help in the office, accepting donations and answering phones, or help pick up donations and make deliveries. We can also use donated time from skilled professionals:  if you have skills to offer, we’ll find some way to use them!
  • Join our on-call list for last minute volunteers. Every once in a while we are short for volunteers at the last minute and we need to find volunteers quickly. If you live or work near to the Table and really like to be needed, this is the job for you!
  • Please contact volunteer@mybrotherstable.org joanne@mybrotherstable.org or jason@mybrotherstable.org

Volunteer from Home

  • Not everyone can come to the Table, but people can help from home too!
  • Prepare lunch and dinner bags for our guests from your home. These meals bags are a huge help to our program. For more info and to sign up for a slot, please click here.
  • Our guests love homemade desserts!  Bake cookies, brownies, or any dessert at home (a great project for families with young children) and deliver fresh or frozen to the Table. Desserts should be sturdy enough to be packed in a lunch bag.  It would be especially helpful if desserts were packaged in individual portions as we serve all meals to-go style.
  • Collect and donate items from our Wish List.
  • Host a Fundraiser with your family, friends, school, church, workplace or civic group.  Consider hosting a toiletry or sock drive, bake sale, car wash, etc on behalf of the Table. We can provide you with promotional materials and we can publicize the event to our supporters.
  • Lead a team to participate virtually in the Walk for My Brother’s Table in October. Have a competition to see who can raise the most money. The Walk is an easy and fun event for all ages and this year it will be even easier to participate since it will be virtual.

How Can Kids and Young Adults Help My Brother’s Table?

Kids 12 and older are welcome to help prepare and serve meals.

Under 12? There are many ways younger children can help My Brother’s Table too!

  • Host a fundraiser like a bake sale, car wash, etc. on behalf of the Table. These are great projects for families, neighborhoods, sports teams, schools, clubs, or church groups. We can provide you with promotional materials and we can publicize the event to our supporters.
  • Collect and donate items from our Wish List.
  • Collect toiletries (soap, deodorant, shaving cream, shampoo, toothbrushes, etc.) for our guests. Travel sizes work best, but we are happy to pass toiletries of any size on to our guests. You can put the toiletries together in care packages for our guests if you have a group of people interested in helping.
  • Write encouraging notes or make cards to put in the meal bags for our guests.
  • Help with some of our seasonal needs. Lead a team to participate virtually in the Walk for My Brother’s Table in October, collect grocery store gift cards for us in November and collect sweaters, hats and gloves for our guests in December. Please call us if you have other seasonal ideas.
